Each day in the run-up to the finals, we’re doing two tracks from the 2015 Eurovision Song Competition and
tearing them to shreds analysing them carefully in a bid to predict the winner on May 23rd.
MOLDOVA: Eduard Romanyuta – “I Want Your Love”
MOSH: A quick Google tells me that this guy is actually a ringer from Ukraine. I don’t know how much Moldova paid for him to himself off as one of their own countrymen, but they were ripped off. I haven’t heard a more turgid piece of shit since the last Bieber release. NUL PWA!
DAVE: Ted Rogers would be proud…I’ve done a 3-2-1. What do you mean “Who is Ted Rogers?” PAH!!! Anyway, the song is mainly arse, but the Backstreet Boy-lite elements save it from a NUL PWA. 1/5
MONTENEGRO: Knez – “Adio”
MOSH: Credit for throwing in a nice traditional sound and some ethnic instruments; a shame they’re wasted on a song that sounds like a parody of itself. Renée and Renato Lite. Without Renée. 1/5
DAVE: Fuck this for a game of soldiers….3 minute long song and it’s almost a minute in before the vocals arrive. And then it’s in foreign. This is totally arse. NUL PWA!
