This album represents a progression in attitude and lineup, as the band explains below:
Just like there have been many versions of you, there have also been Swilsons. There was the snotty New Jersey teenage Swilson, fed on a steady diet of carny hustles, boardwalk pills, and gnawed-out old KISS and Hawkwind albums. He’s still here. So’s the cosmic, breezy Hollywood Swilson, the one that got real, real gone and recorded his first album, Demonology, in a haunted shed, the one that could barely get through a gig without cops dragging his bandmates off to god knows where. He’s here, too.
And so, of course, is the newest Swilson, the New York groovers, the cool operators, the all-night rockers, a star-studded affair that includes ex and current of the Dictators, the Stallions, The Bamboo Kids and future of the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Infamy. The only way to make an album like this is to bring all the Swilsons together, to harness their infernal powers, to fire all the Swilson guns at once and explode into space. And that’s what happened…
Swilson was produced by Dean Rispler (The Dictators NYC, Ross The Boss, The Wizards) and engineered, mixed, and mastered by Jesse Cannon (Dillinger Escape Plan, The Cure, Man Overboard). The very limited edition vinyl will be available internationally through the new Japanese label Vanishing Point Records. For those of you who are even more old-school and esoteric, the limited edition cassette will be available through Brooklyn’s Fuzzy Warbles. The digital version is available from Vanishing Point and directly through the band.
