I encountered this one today as it’s been released to promote Hyperborean’s new album (further details on this other article). However, I decided to put it in as a separate article for a couple of reasons.
First off, I don’t like cramming two videos into a single article. Then there’s the fact that I wanted the track promoting their album (on that post) to be an original track. It makes more sense.
Thirdly… this is just quality. It’s what a cover should be, in my opinion. Taking a well-known, easily recognised track and really making it your own. Ladies, gentlemen and whatever the hell that orange thing in the back row is… I give you Hyperborean’s version of “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper” by Blue Öyster Cult!
