Classic Covers: Mallory Knox – Yellow

Mallory Knox have released their cover of Coldplay’s “Yellow” in collaboration with Torch Songs, a new campaign launched by the mental health charity CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably). Scroll down to give it a listen.

Speaking about the track, frontman Mikey Chapman says:

Awareness and understanding are so crucial in the fight for mental health, when people understand they can begin to overcome. Much love to CALM for being a huge part in that. I’ve always loved the melancholic vibe of this song. To care so deeply about someone that your world is rooted in them, and the beauty and struggle that may cause. I don’t know if that’s the intent of the song but it’s how I feel when I hear it. I love when music can do that to you.

The track follows the release of the band’s new single “California”, the latest to be lifted from their Top 20 third album Wired released earlier this year. The band also recently released their new EP Unwired, featuring stunning stripped back versions of fan favourites from the album.
