With German thrash metal pioneers Destruction coming to Glasgow, and getting the chance to interview them and their s, we couldn’t possibly resist the opportunity. While Mosh caught up with first band Evil Invaders (and what a great band they proved to be live too), I had the chance to have a wee chat with second – Finland’s own rising young thrash upstarts Lost Society.
I spoke with guitarist/vocalist Samy Elbanna, soon to be ed by bassist Mirko Lehtinen and guitarist Arttu Lesonen about how the band found their first gig in Scotland, how the band got together in 2010, how they’ve found their rollercoaster ride of achievement in such a short time since their formation, their influences, and their plans for the future.
On a side note, interviewing Lost Society was the first interview I’ve ever done on my own and I must it, it was pretty nerve-wracking! However I couldn’t pick a better band for my first interview. They were such awesome, friendly guys and I hope to catch up with them again sometime in the future whether it is in Glasgow, or even on a wee holiday to Helsinki (taking the Moshville Times internationally!)
