[avatar =”Mosh” size=”50″ align=”left” /]Another delayed and again my apologies. Work and family, as ever, take priority so this has been sat on my laptop since the Sabaton gig just over a week ago. Again, thanks must go to James who – fortunately – had his shiny new digital recorder with him otherwise this recording would have been lost when I flattened my phone without backing it up. Oops.
Heri is a quiet man, though more in a thoughtful way than anything else. You can tell he thinks carefully about what he says, and therefore what comes out is spoken with conviction. In our brief conversation, we talked about the history of the band and its country of origin – The Faroe Isles.
As with several bands who focus on tales of legend for their subject matter, I focussed on how Týr choose which stories to immortalise in song and how they defined their own sound to encapsulate them.
And of course, given that it’s over a year since the last album… what’s coming next?
Thank to Heri for his time and to Andy at Metal Blade – once again – for organising everything for us.
