How was your performance earlier today?

It was good, man! We’ve played festivals around Europe and they’re good but it was nice to come home and play a festival on home turf.

How do you feel the response has been to the latest album?

It came out in December and the response so far has been good, man. It’s a bit different to the last album but we feel as though it’s more cohesive. The writing process was much better as well so we feel it’s been good. The next album is probably going to be something a bit different again.

What bands are you looking forward to seeing?

Colin: Nick and I were really gutted as we wanted to see Whitechapel and Soilwork but being sandwiched in between them we didn’t get chance to. Therefore, Testament is a must!

Matt: I’m looking forward to seeing Wintersun and a few other bands.

Colin: There’s so many good bands though.

I gather that you’ve been here before then…

C: Yep, I’ve been here before and played on the New Blood stage.

M: I have as well. It’s a great festival.

C: Oh yeah. It’s a lot of fun to play here

What are the band’s plans for the next six months?

C: We’ve just changed booking agents so we’re currently in a bit of transition. We’re hoping to get over to Russia and the Far East in the Winter. Cradle are then away doing the world tour next year so we’re on a break then. We’re hoping to play some summer festivals as well so you’ll see us more next summer than you will around now.

Describe the band in 3 words.

C&M: Very fucking metal
