Dead of Winter Fest has been and gone but the stench and memories from this event will live long in the memory. Fighting against the storm of a generation forced the promoters of DOW to make the event a one day festival, but all those that attended were treated to a near-capacity Ivory Blacks in Glasgow. It was a feast of underground death metal and a long twelve hour day was had. It was a pleasure to see so many old and new faces in the crowd.
Next up in our list of interviews is a reminder of the old ways of death metal. Suffering Rites is more than a project, this a tour de force in its own right, worshipping Bolt Thrower but adding their own touches to their sound, Suffering Rites put on a show that took the place by storm (excuse the pun). After their set, we got a chance to have a chat with the band who constantly write new music and also include Kwando of BrainBath and promoter for Dead of Winter Fest. He was busy that day!!
