Dead of Winter Fest has been and gone but the stench and memories from this event will live long in the memory. Fighting against the storm of a generation forced the promoters of DOW to make the event a one day festival, but all those that attended were treated to a near-capacity Ivory Blacks in Glasgow. It was a feast of underground death metal and a long twelve hour day was had. It was a pleasure to see so many old and new faces in the crowd.
Having caught Consecration as main last year and revelling on their take of death/doom metal, when I saw guitarist Liam in the crowd I simply had to have a chat with him about the planes, trains and automobiles journey from Norwich to Glasgow. Liam had plenty to say about the Scottish death metal scene, Dead of Winter Fest and what’s going on with Consecration. Always good to catch up with you and hear you on Moshville Radio sometime soon.
Apologies must be made in of the lighting and sound. Hope you still enjoy.
