Game Soundtracks that you can’t miss out on

One of the many aspects of any form of media is the soundtracks and music they offer to the consumer. That applies to all genres of games too. Videogames have come forth with incredible music dating back to 8-bit tracks from the mid to late 20th century, starting with titles such as Rally-X and Journey, to the meticulously crafted orchestrations and arrangements of musical soundtracks of the present-day gaming industry. Several games are often played for the sole purpose of the music they offer, notable titles such as Magic Tiles series on Android or iOS and Geometry Dash for Android, iOS, Windows, and Macintosh. While others offer marvelous symphonies alongside their gameplay mechanics that simply take you on a blissful adventure that would count as the likes of the notorious Old School Runescape that is still very popular and mostly known about it is OSRS Gold services and we also can’t forget World of Warcraft that also has it is own currency – WoW Cataclysm Gold. All of these games have great soundtracks but only for as honorable mentions.

The industry has come far with the element of music, and while most gamers are well-aware of where the best tracks reside, there are still a few soundtracks that go unnoticed by many yet are far more than simply praiseworthy. If you’re a gamer who has a drive for good soundtracks, then you’re in for a treat. Today, we will be diving in and discussing some spectacular game titles and their remarkable soundtracks, which shouldn’t go unnoticed by any gamer around. Let’s dive in to see what’s on the list.

  1. Pokémon

The title Pokémon is not new to any individual, especially since the release of the widely popular mobile game title “Pokémon Go”. The titles launched in February 1992 as Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green for the Gameboy, and ever since have come forth with countless games, anime, manga comics, and other merchandise. Each of the games has its own sets of soundtracks that are quite charming and memorable for fans of the franchise as well as regular gamers alike.  One of the most popular soundtracks that took PokeTubers (YouTube content creators that mainly create Pokémon content) was the Primal Dialga soundtrack from Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 2 that captures a timeless aura within its music, representing the traits of scenario and character. Another notable track is the nostalgic Route 1 theme, from the earliest parts of the first two games. The track has remixed and reemerged as remakes were made of the initial releases, and implemented sections of it in other soundtracks as well. It has a very happy welcoming vibe reminiscent of its placement in the game. Another track that the majority of gamers are familiar with is the Walking theme from Pokémon Go that has its adventurous vibes well engraved into its symphony. If you’re short on luck on your Pokémon Go game and looking to get into some competitive gameplay then look no further!

  1. UnderTale

A game that was very well-received and popular from 2015, designed by the indie game developer Toby Fox, UnderTale came with its fine set of soundtracks, simple yet praiseworthy 2D character design, and more so liked for the player to choose out of three possible story modes; pacifist, genocide and neutral. The most popular of UnderTale’s soundtracks was the fast-paced Megalovania, the theme track to the character Sans and well representative of his personality. Other notable mentions include His theme and Spider Dance Muffet theme, all of which are played alongside interactions and battles against the respective characters.

  1. Final Fantasy XIV

Another popular title straight out of Japan, the Final Fantasy series focuses on the role-playing element of the gaming genre, with the fourteenth installment (Final Fantasy XIV) being an MMORPG in particular. The game features some strong-toned orchestral tracks for its boss fights and other significant events, with “The Maker’s Ruin” and “Dawn of a New Era” being examples of such. These tracks are well designed to give the player an adrenaline rush while tackling difficult enemies and likewise fit the scenario.

  1. Animal Crossing

Animal Crossing is a game series loved by many for its cheery characters and beautiful scenery. Fans and gamers alike also consider its soundtracks remarkable. Many tracks such as “2 AM” from Animal Crossing New Horizons are something fans love to listen to while enjoying the scenic views the game has to offer or simply enjoy the peace it offers.

  1. League of Legends

League of Legends is a huge title in the gaming industry that has entire songs and concerts dedicated to its self from notable singers and celebrities alike. The game is something hardly any gamer would be unaware of, even if they haven’t played it yet. In-game soundtracks are nothing short of being spectacular just as the songs are. Some notable soundtracks are “Summoner’s Rift”, “Blood Moon” and “Take Over”, though it will be fair to say the game has several more that could be mentioned here. Each of these carries a different style and vibe to themselves making them unique while ensuring the same level of quality to themselves.

  1. The Legend of Zelda

With the latest title “Breath of the Wild” being an open-world game, the series has brought forth some remarkable soundtracks that all capture the player’s heart. Some tend to still get unnoticed by several players as they’re occupied focusing on taking down foes on Link’s adventures throughout the game, so we highly recommend checking them out separately. Besides the beautiful compositions from Breath of the Wild, earlier releases too had soundtracks such as “The Song of Storms” and “Welcome to Hyrule” that are bound to mesmerize the player throughout gameplay.

  1. Sonic the Hedgehog

One of Sega’s classic series and titles, Sonic the Hedgehog has gained huge popularity as the company’s flagship game for the past 30 years. The company has launched several feature games as well as spinoffs and even has TV shows, a 2020 feature film, and merchandise. Each of the games has characteristic soundtracks that are lively and fit the fast pacing of the gameplay. The most well-known soundtrack is that of “Green Hill Zone”, while several soundtracks are known for a multitude of reasons, such as the beautifully crafted “Ice Cap Zone” soundtrack, known for its influence from Michael Jackson’s Smooth Criminal.
