After the last two years where there has been a “rock/metal” category which seems to have annoyed a lot of people, the Grammy Award nominations for this year once again include a “Best Metal Performance” category.
Last year’s winners were Halestorm, and the year before that it was the Foo Fighters who also took the plain “Rock Performance” award which showed the dual categories up for the joke they were.
This year’s nominations for the Best Metal Performance are:
- T.N.T. — Anthrax
- God Is Dead? — Black Sabbath
- The Enemy Inside — Dream Theater
- In Due Time — Killswitch Engage
- Room 24 — Volbeat Featuring King Diamond
