Bury the Memory - Can't Catch The YearsBury the Memory

Manchester based post-hardcore band Bury The Memory have released their new EP, Can’t Catch The Years. Drawing upon a wide range of influences from the likes of Every Time I Die and Underoath, Bury The Memory combine visceral vocals and melodic riffs to create their powerful sound.

Can’t Catch The Years includes five tracks – Lobster Boy, Grey Days, A Life Worth Living, Of Great Heights and For All We’ve Lost. All of these tracks are available to listen via iTunes, Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play and Bury The Memory’s Bandcamp.

Michael Monaghan, vocalist of Bury The Memory, said: “Can’t Catch The Years is about growing and adapting as a band. The EP portrays our journey and our desire to keep improving to reach the next step.”

Bury The Memory will celebrate this release with a short run of dates with Oaths.

((RSJ)) are known for making noise, lots of noise, but never anything like this. If you don’t buy it yourself, then you will probably hear the devastating rumble of Giant Glenn being played somewhere far off in the distance. The band’s fourth studio album will be released on September 23rd with a one week exclusive stream through Metal Hammer from September 16th.

Giant Glenn’s ferocious sound is made more infamous with help of guest appearances from Raging Speedhorn’s John Loughlin on “Hit The Road Jack” (video below) and The Qemist’s Olly Simmons on “Bloody Mary”.

Ashaena - CaleaAshaena

Ashaena‘s second full-length album, Calea, is out now on Loud Rage Music. Seven tracks of melodic, fierce, emotional and mature Pagan Folk Black Metal celebrating the band’s first decade of activity. Stream three tracks and / or order Calea via their bandcamp page.

Epica

Dutch symphonic metal stars Epica grant a little insight into the making of their forthcoming album, The Holographic Principle with a first trailer from the studio. In this brand new clip, the band explains their songwriting process as well as offering a few musical surprises. The album is out on September 30th.

Guitarist Isaac Delahaye explains:

Halfway through 2015, Epica started a new journey: writing and recording the 7th studio album The Holographic Principle. In between touring we spent our time in the Sandlane Recording Facilities with producer Joost van den Broek and here’s the first part of our studio documentary! It gives you a little insight into the creation of what we see as our most complete album ever. You’ll hear rough snippets of new music, and you’ll see how we built things up. Enjoy!

Virvum - IlluminanceVirvum

Zurich, Switzerland based technical/progressive death metal band Virvum have spent years honing their craft through the release of one-off singles and hundreds of hours of practicing culminating in the refined and elaborate product that is their forthcoming debut full-length album, Illuminance. The band will be self-releasing the album on September 16th 2016.The first single from Illuminance will debut this Friday, July 22nd.
