Lelahell

After the success of their Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign for funding the production of their second full length Alif, The Algerian death metal band Lelahell started recording the drum parts with Hannes Grossmann (Alkaloid, Blotted Science, Hate Eternal, ex.Necrophagist, Ex.Obscura) as a session drummer.

Founded in 2010 by metal veteran Redouane Aouameur, Lelahell are an Algerian death metal band hailing from Algiers. The trio comprises of Lelahel (guitars, vocals), Ramzy Curse (bass) and Slaveblaster (drums). Lelahell have released one EP, Al Intihar (Goressimo Records, 2012), and one full album, Al Insane… The (Re)birth of Abderrahmane (HPGDP, 2014). The band also launched a documentary in 2016 titled Highway to Lelahell- An Algerian metal Documentary, available for streaming on YouTube, presenting viewers with a solid history lesson on Algeria’s metal scene. The band have also embarked on three European tours, and also participated in festivals in Europe.

Descendents - Hypercaffium SpazzinateDescendents

Legendary Californian punks, Descendents celebrate the release of their much anticipated new album, Hypercaffium Spazzinate which came out on Friday through Epitaph Records.

Descendents’ first Epitaph release since Everything Sucks in 1996, Hypercaffium Spazzinate began taking shape after the band ended an extended hiatus to play live in 2010. Though still tight, they lived apart: singer Milo Aukerman – whose cartoon rendering famously serves as the band’s logo – was now living in Delaware, bassist Karl Alvarez and founder and drummer Bill Stevenson were in Colorado, and guitarist Stephen Egerton had settled in Oklahoma. So the album came to life over three years as the band sent tracks back and forth, occasionally meeting up in Karl and Bill’s adopted hometown of Fort Collins. Adopting such a protracted process meant not having to rush things, allowing for some of their sharpest songwriting yet.
