Winter Storm announce more bands, detail accommodation etc

We’re just over three weeks away from the second Winter Storm (24th and 25th November) and the Troon rock festival has added another three acts to its lineup in the shape of Florence Black, Attica Rage and Black King Cobra. They classics such as The Quireboys, Graham Bonnet, Tygers of Pan Tang and Tyketto. Meanwhile on the more modern side of things, you’ve got Stone Broken, Massive Wagons, in-house favourites The King Lot and winners of the first Storm Breakers, Anchor Lane.

Alongside this, if you’re already attending and staying in Troon, festival accommodation vouchers and tickets are due to go out this week. All hotels taking part in the weekend are offering early check-in and where possible, will allow early access to rooms. They’ll also store your luggage to allow you to catch those first bands to grace the stage at Troon Concert Hall but you are advised to your hotel in advance to arrange this.

Meanwhile, with being right on the coast, Winter Storm are encouraging its guests to be mindful of their environment. As such, plastic straws are out – paper straws are in. As for your drinks, you’ll be getting them served in Winter Storm plastic cups for a £2 deposit which you can return or keep as a souvenir. Recycling bins will be present and encouraged to use with separate bins for food. And if you’re feeling brave and want to shift Saturday morning’s hangover, you can get in touch and help Friends of Troon Beach to keep it clean.

At the last count, Saturday day tickets are sold out from the festival direct with a few remaining via Skiddle. Friday and weekend are still available and most, if not all hotels in the area are booked up for the weekend. So if you haven’t already booked to see some legendary bands and some of the finest new breed, for a cheap asking price and compered by the one and only Tom Russell, we advise you to act fast!
