It’s not often a track gets a really classic spoken intro. Vincent Price’s voice leading into “Thriller” has to be one of, if not the actual, best. Add to that small list “Kick Ass” from Bryan Adams. A Quo-esque rock and roll number with quality build-up courtesy of over-tall funnyman John Cleese. And he didn’t even mention the War…
If this isn’t the opening track when he plays live, then the person who drafts the setlists is missing a trick.
“Kick Ass” begins with a John Cleese introductory sermon which sums up the song, there’s not enough rock and roll in the world… end of! More guitars, more drums, hands… let’ rock!
