LNC’s blinding new single “Kitchen Disco” released on New Years Eve

As the debate continues over what the letters LNC actually stands for, accentuated by the band who continually quote that the abbreviation is “a closely guarded secret,” one thing remains for sure, this four-piece stands for delivering engaging and thought provoking music that is a dark, swirling fusion of indie pop/rock, with reminiscent nostalgic licks of post Bunnymen- inspired psychedelia.

“Kitchen Disco”, out and streaming today, is a fun song all about forgetting bad vibes and tension and just letting go, (often with cans).

Driven by the palatial voice and infectious persona of front man, Josh Price (Vocal/Guitar) and the frequently brilliant work of wingman Jacob ‘Jimmy’ Bettinson (lead guitar), their light-hearted and enigmatic lyrics mix elegantly with cinematically Baroque post-punk melodies. United by a steely backbone rhythm section delivered immaculately by Jordan Wright (bass) and Josh Bell (drums) who combine to supply the powerful dark embers needed to complete the bands mystic and moody sonic undertones.

Formed in Nottingham in 2016, largely based upon a childhood dream and driving ambition to write music from four school mates, the fledgling band released their first single ‘From Ilson With Love’ towards the end of their first year.

Whilst the Covid-19 outbreak locked many aspiring musicians away from their rock and roll ambitions the pandemic did little to stop LNC from perfecting the craft and resulted in the band’s next recording ‘0115’ which sparked an overwhelming response from national radio plays including BBC Sport, who featured the single as the lead background music to one of their main events.

June 2022 saw the single ‘Circles’ which attracted UK & US radio, with regular plays on Sirius XM in the United States, thus encouraging the boys back into the studio to record the now music industry acclaimed single ‘Crush, (Release July 2023) which is accompanies by the retro revamp and superbly animated promotional video. The band also have sold out their home town show at Rough Trade, Nottingham in of the up and coming release.
