Edinburgh rockers A Ritual Spirit have been far from quiet since returning from tour just before lockdown in March… g with Reaction Management, piecing together a video for 2nd single “Broken/Disappear” from their 2019 release The Antidote EP, announcing and subsequently rescheduling a tour with stable-mates Deadfire, Nocturne Wulf & Salt River Shakedown, all the while notching up a significant amount of radio play on the likes of Primordial Radio, Total Rock and Scotland Rocks Radio. Thee band are are now venturing into the realms of the virtual festival, performing at Breaking Bands Virtual Fest2, going out over Halloween weekend.
In this era of live music being disturbingly absent from our lives, the live stream has become a go-to source of music for many fans – granted it will never be the same as going out to a venue and witnessing a band in the flesh but streaming gives bands an opportunity to perform, fans an opportunity to discover new music and at the very least some of the energy of a live show is retained.

Breaking Bands hosted their debut virtual festival earlier this year and are now preparing for the 2nd instalment – VI{rtual}2 – going out on Facebook Live and YouTube Live on Saturday 31st October and Sunday 1st November. A Ritual Spirit perform towards the end of the bill at 7pm on Sunday evening.
The Go Fund Me page is now live for the event with all donations being split between the 22 bands on the bill and UK non-profit Rock Against Child Pornography & Abuse.
