Thing is, the programme’s producers told the band that they had to mime. Not just a bit of lip-syncing for Bruce, but full on may-as-well-not-bother miming from the entire group.
Witness Bruce Dickinson on guitar! Nicko on vocals! Steve Harris on drums! And Adrian on guitar as he’s the only one who seems to be taking the show seriously and doesn’t in, the miserable sod. The audience stands rock still for the entire performance, as well. Whether this is out of bemusement or because they were waiting for Sodom to come on, I don’t know.
