A little later than usual due to a hectic day, here is today’s selection. I’m getting to play catch-up a little as, due to the holiday I assume, I’ve had very little in since Thursday. All good as it means I can squeeze in a few videos I’d otherwise have had to skip!
Treat – “Ghost of Graceland”
Swedish melodic rock legends Treat have a new album in the works. Ghost of Graceland is due out on the 15th of April and we can now stream the title track. It’s a belter of a rock anthem with a hint of the John Farnham about it (listen and I’m sure you’ll spot it).
Shiraz Lane – “Wake Up”
Also with an album due out on April 15th are Finnish hard rock act Shiraz Lane. The opposite end of the scale in of age and experience to Treat above, For Crying Out Loud is the debut album from this bunch of 20-somethings.
Wildways – “Princess” (Feat. Rebecca Need-Menear)
Bringing to mind the sounds of an early Linkin Park with the electronica surrounding it, but definitely with a more profane tone to the lyrics is this track from Wildways’ new album Into The Wild. Guest vocals come from Rebecca Need-Menear of Anavae and they really do add to the song.
The Cadillac Three – “Graffiti”
A chill-out track to finish with the more bluesy-rock tones of The Cadillac Three. Given that they were named 2014 UK Classic Rock Roll of Honour: Best New Band, they must be worth a listen. “Grafitti” is from a new album which is coming out later this year (no date as yet), though you can catch the guys playing Ramblin’ Man in July.
